Looking for Ranges that offer "Pay As You Go" Such as Bob's Tactical does.

Whether it be by the day or hour.

My reasoning As to "Why" Is time constraints... I only end up going to the range 3-4 times a year, whereas a full membership, would not be as cost effective.

Any input is appreciated.

The reasons for my time constraints, is that in addition to my work schedule... I have a special needs child.
With this in mind I work opposite shifts from my wife. Leaving me little free time.

I really like BOB'S Tactical, but it's a little far from me in Framingham, MA

Again... any input is appreciated.

Your option is not that great. There are only a few public ranges.

1. AFS in North Alterboro
2. MFL in Manchester NH
3. Bobs in Salisbury.

If you go 3-4 times annually, you should consider membership to a club. A club membership is not too much. In Framingham, you have several club s nearby. Consider the range fees + gas + travel time, it about the cost for dues for a local club.

Westwood gun club in medfield is a good club nearby. Lots of very nice club members.

FIFY

It is AFS (American Firearms School) in N. Attleboro.

I agree with you that other than the 1x initiation fee that most clubs charge, the dues/year will likely still be less at most clubs than going to a pay range 4x/year. Most clubs are in the vicinity of $100/year dues, some are cheaper.

NOTE: If you were thinking of MFS in Holliston, at $250/yr that is definitely going to be much more expensive than almost any club even including initiation (which is only a 1x thing).

Thanks, LenS. I do meant AFS. [grin]

I prefer Bobs over AFS, and I am much closer to AFS.

I've been working in Special Education for 7 years roughly and wouldn't trade it for anything!

Too bad you're so far away. YOUR special one could play with MY special one, and WE could go shooting at my club...good luck in your search.

I belong to MVGC in Malden (about 30 mins away from you) and would be more than willing to bring you as a guest. If you would like to take me up on this PM me and we can set something up. This offer stands indefinitely.
Best,
Eric
