Other. I'd opt for a J frame Smith, either a 442 or 642, but it could be problematic with anatomical differences in female form, and also from a clothing standpoint. Sooner or later, and I understand that fashion is very important for both men and weapon, there has to be a certain degree of compromise and to an extent, one has to "dress around the gun" and not vice-versa.

Although major caliber pocket/small semi-autos have proliferated, and there are some good designs out there, I don't think anything beats a J frame S&W for all but the deepest concealment (then think a mousegun like a Beretta Bobcat or a Seecamp or a Baby Browning if you can find one)...I usually carry something bigger on the hip, but when I can't, then it is a "J" in the pocket...and not infrequently I carry a "J" with me as a BUG when I am carrying a larger gun.

YMMV

I opt for OTHER, nothing fits my pocket and is more comfotable than a S&W hammerless 38spl airweight revolver.

Yep! And the design helps keep crud out of it. Mika pocket holster and Crimson Trace grip and away you go.

The Ruger LCP is basically a P3AT that sucks less, so you might as well just remove the P3AT from the list. (ETA: I see you figured that out already!)

i voted other also. imho for a small gun i would suggest what i use, a model 642. the +p is a tad bit stiff but using 38 spl for practice is not bad at all. find something that you will have confidence it and practice and then practice some more.

When I did my own soul searching some months back for pocket carry I landed on the Ruger LCR in 357 mag. I was put off for a while due to the recoil however I recently tried Hornady Critical Defense 125gr FTX 357 mag rounds in it and it made a world of difference. I don't know what Hornady does to the rounds but I was instantly putting rounds consistently on paper and the recoil was very manageable.

I would have voted for the Kahr p380 with hogue jr's! that's good price for lcp in MA. let us know how you like it maddie!
