Possible to pin the GSG-5 Collapsible Stock?

Sure... as long as it's done in a manner that it's permanent/can't be undone with simple tools/can't be reconfigured back without rendering the stock unusable.

Keep in mind that neither the AGs office or State Police have ever issued specific guidelines or criteria as what is a legal method and what is not.

Nothing says you have to pin it in a way tha if you unpin it, it's unusable. THe typical definition of a collapsible stock is on that can "quickly" have the length changed without tools.

If you can pin it in a manner that can be undone with tools, then you should be ok. Nothing requires you to permantly neuter the stock so that it must be unusable if you attempt to unpin it.

I would not go with the buffer method you suggested. I would either have it welded or have a bolt put through it depending on the stock.

BATFE probably had some standard somewhere but it may end up being greater than whatever is actually required, but nobody knows this because the AG or whoever have never said a thing about it, nor has anyone ever been prosecuted in MA for an AWB violation.... yet.

I have plenty of pinned AR stocks, I just didn't know if anyone had any experience with this particular stock.

IOW - I'm not questioning the legality, but the practicality.

You should be able to either use a pin to disable the release paddle or use 2 pins (1 on each side) to keep the legs from sliding back in to the receiver rails.

Should be pretty simple to accomplish. Personally i'd use an normal A2 stock instead of the A3. Lighter and more comfortable and the only advantage to the A3 stock is that it can be collapsed [smile]
