Pre-ban or no?

Hi folks, this is a follow up to a question about the definition of pre-ban.. Since I am seeing a lot of very pricey "Pre-ban" (even ignoring the pre-healey ones) lowers, I was curious about why one would want to get a pre-ban lower.

If you all can help me understand, that would be awesome. Looking forward to learning from you all.

If a rifle is semi-automatic & magazine fed, it cannot have more than 2 "evil" features such a bayonet lug, adjustable stock, flash-hider etc. Pre- 1994 rifles may have those features.
