BOOZE! I've been slowly increasing the size of my larder over the past 3 weeks to the point where I feel confident in being able to "bug-in" without leaving the house for about a month (this includes TP, and meds of course). Much of the food is shelf stable though I'm not too worried about losing water or electricity (I still have a
lot of bottled water). So, today before another grocery run I decided to stock up on the means to stay sane in the event of being stuck in the house with my wife for an extended period of time; beer, wine, bourbon, vodka, and gin! Plus all the accoutrements (sweet and dry vermouth, campari, olives, cherries, etc)
I have never spent that much money on alcohol at one time! While I'm less optimistic that it would last us a month (I see consumption rising in accordance with length of time holed up) It's definitely nothing to shake a stick at. No, no list posted. Suffice it to say that the good stuff is cheaper when purchased in big bottles and or by the case.
Also, no Coronas. It's not 90 degrees out and I'm not in the mood for Mexican piss.
Cheers!
