Is it just me or can you only load these things when the bolt is back? Otherwise it won't click in. I'm using some C Products 20 rnd aluminums (non-straight body). If it isn't fully loaded it will go in. I'm guessing the rounds won't push down enough with the bolt in the way? Do 10 rnd mags have the same problem? How about 20 rnd mags with a straight body? It just seems impractical to me that they won't load that way... if I had the mags fully loaded and I needed them fast I might slam the mag home, chamber nothing, then engage and have the magazine fall out on the floor. Talk about a potential "oh shit" moment!

Welcome to the world of C-Products...Some days are diamonds - some days are chit...You're in New Hampshire - cut your losses and buy some P-Mags. You can try messing with the springs, or keep compressing them My guess is, you're stuck with 19-rounders...BTW - never had issue one with Colt 20's - even Vietnam era mags I have -there should be some out there....

Check to see whether the spring is inserted the right way. If you reverse it, it can cause problems.

No thanks on the plastic mags! I should mention they had magpul follower upgrades to them when I bought them.

I dunno about knocking PMags. I've seen some videos of what they can take and it's quite impressive. There was one where they shot one with a 7.62 round and blew a hole straight through it with the spring hanging out and the thing still fed fine. Plus theres the guys who run over it many times with their truck and it still works fine.

I've had the same problem with CP mags. Sometimes they work fine, other time they don't. Seems like I have better luck with the older ones. I'm trying to find some replacements that are more reliable, and I know there are numerous threads floating around with mags for sale. Any particular brand/model that you guys suggest?

P.S. I apologize, I'm not trying to hijack your thread. You can pm me responses if you'd like.
