I went out with 2 of my cousins, my dad, and my brother over in Manomet tonight. My cousin has 2 red bone hounds that he cut loose and they put a good sized raccoon up a tree.
We thrashed through some dense brush and lots of thorn patches and I zipped 'im about 5 or 6 times with my new 10/22. The raccoon came down and the dogs took care of the rest.
My cousin took him home, he sells the hides somewhere.
It was an interesting experience, but I prefer hunting coyote or fox where there's more of a sporting challenge involved.
Anyone else in the Plymouth/Manomet area hunt coyotes or foxes? I'd like to go out with someone who knows what they're doing, haha. We've gone out a couple of times with no success.
