So I just read the whole thread and I have a question: Why quail?
Coturnix quail, you see, require no more care than do chickens, but they mature faster, produce more eggs, need less food and space, and have more uses than virtually any other kind of domestic poultry!
Yep, awesome. I'm going to insulate the west side of my shed and then put their coop in there with wood chips during the winter.

Just cracked up a couple weeks worth of eggs.... Damn thats labor intensive for breakfast.
I have about a cup and a half of quail eggs.... They don't go very far!
Yea.. ok so that the problem... If you have 4 or of you have 44 it's exactly the same amount of work.. You go out once a day and check the water, feed and grab the eggs? ... You need more birds.. I have an incubator.. so let me know when your ready for another batch..4 hens
Can you make a quail omelet from quail eggs & quail meat or is that some kind of double negative?
What type of quail do you have again?
