I picked up a new GSG-5 from Madmarc0 at Zero Hour yesterday, and broke it in at the range this afternoon. First thing is if you don't have one, get one, this is the most fun I've had alone at a gun range in a long time.
I started out with a torture test of sorts, I had a few hundred rounds of 5+ year old Remington Thunderbolt sitting collecting dust, so I figured if it can cycle this crap anything goes. Not a single malfunction! I then proceeded with a few hundred rounds of CCI mini-mags, no problems there either.
As for accuracy, on the few rounds where I slowed down enough to aim properly, the GSG was right on target. Most of my shots were taken from between 25 and 50 yards (I had the range all to myself so I was all over the place
), and most were rapid fire mag dumps. It is just a super fun little gun to shoot.
The only negative on my trip was a user error, in an attempt to load my mags faster I ended up with a .22 round standing nose up in one of my mags, and I couldn't get it out. Thankfully I had two mags with me, and the problem was easily solved when I returned home, simply disassemble the mag and remove the errant round. Had I brought a screwdriver to the range, it would have been fixed there. Which brings me to my only piece of advice in this long winded eval, BUY EXTRA MAGS. If I had a complaint it would be that reloading mags sucks. This thing empties them quick, I will be picking them up a couple at a time when I can until I have a nice stock of 10-12.

Aside from some tacticool accessories, I wouldn't change a thing on the GSG, IMHO it's a keeper.
