I recently posted a thread advertising myself as a Sig Armorer and offering to install the SRT kit. Apparently I made a mistake in advertising that service on the forum. I am not up to speed with some the rules and I apologize for my mistake.
It is my understanding that SIG will void the warranty if the kit is installed by a non armorer. However, I am uncertain about what their process is on checking that. As rcwhat mentioned, it isn't the most difficult thing to install. A lot of us do what we do to our guns regardless. Apex parts etc.... Everyone is free to decide how they want to go about it.
I have been a green member for some time now. My membership expired a few weeks back and I was waiting until my next pay check to get it going again, per the "I don't want to piss my wife off" strategy game. Are those types of postings permitted for green member? If so great, if not I won't bother. Either way I'll be green again soon...
Lastly, If someone screws up or makes a mistake, whether its a forum posting or something more serious, why not politely communicate that to them? I have thick skin and im man enough to adnit if im wrong. I have had nothing but positive interactions with the gentlemen I have met on this forum.
