Recommend me a .45 auto (MA compliant)

Great choice!

Actually... you would have been well served had you bought a Sig or S&W 1911 as well... so... it was really a win-win situation.

I love my Glocks... my Sig... and the SW 1911 I had.

Give us a range report soon!

the LDA?
Yes it is a pretty neat trigger system. I prefer the original single action when it comes to 1911s. I've had 2 Para's and both were very reliable.

Those Glocks just keep going and going, if you can handle the big frame, you'll be happy with it.

1911's get mt vote.I have a SW1911 and the thing is my favorite.Very easy to shoot and quick to get used to.

Yup that was my previous view also. Have had many 1911's and love the .45 ACP. Just picked up one of the "special run" IDPA 1911's that SW produced. Had to order it direct from factory...could not order from dealer.

Bottom line....IMO, it is terrible. Factory ads were "typos", so they say, and what I received left a lot to be desired. Advertised as full-length guide rod. Nope. "Crisp 4-4 1/2 Lb. trigger pull." Nope. Have NRA weights and this item is well over 5 lbs. and feels like lead. Novak rear NOT drift adjustable for windage. Trust me, I pounded on it....carefully of course....no luck. Tried to adjust the front...same result. Am very disappointed in their product and have been a user since the 60's.

Customer service states that the person responsible for the brochure and even for the posting of their 1911 Pro Series just copied/pasted specs from the Performance Center. Wonderful. Looks like Smith has joined the ranks of the "used to be good".

Bushing is so loose that no wrench is needed. Twirl it with your fingers. Yup, really a custom piece. When I inquired to customer service about the everything, including the bushing, was told, "Nah, bushing is not fitted to bbl., any standard bushing will fit." Beautiful! That's what I spent my money on?

Am not a happy camper with S&W at this point in time. [angry]

I can see why.

And how much did this piece of perfection run you?
