I have lightened them myself, paid others to do it, and replaced mine with after market triggers. Unless you know how to do it right, avoid doing it yourself. How light do you want to lighten it?
Dave
The X-Pro trigger are adjustable to some extent but some of the older triggers are not that are on hunting rifles and some are on the tactical rifles. I recently installed a Timney in my Rem700 build as the X-Pro just wasn't cutting it. The Timney is easier to set up and has a much better overall feel to it. I got it from Midway for 120.00 I believe.
I have a custom made gun, but the action and trigger are factory. Does anyone think it's worth it to either lighten the trigger pull or replace the factory one?
