Remington 700p break-in

Picked up a Remington 700p for my son to use a week ago but have not had a chance to shoot it. The dealer mentioned a break-in process for the barrel.

I've done some research and found some that insist on it, and others that say it does not matter. And then some suggest a modified version of the break-in.

Clean it. Lube it. Sight it in. Shoot it. Repeat as required.
