replace muzzle brake on my AR?

If my current muzzle is pinned or soldered, how can I change to another brake? I'm guessing I don't have the tools to do it myself - who can I go to around Boston who can provide this service?

Any gunsmith should be able to cut the brake off and install the new one. I'm pretty sure Remsport can do this (they're in the dealer section).

$35 + the cost of the part. he's pretty good about having stuff in-stock... it's best to call him in advance if you have a certain one in mind or buy one and bring it to him. his prices are pretty much on par w / online sources...

Just thought that I would add Remsport is not around the Boston area. They are kind of a hike from Boston but I hear they are friendly and do good work. Just mentioning it since the OP asked where around Boston to go.

If I remember correctly... Remsport will charge ~$70 to remove a welded brake and install one that you provide... but that info could be old

I removed mine ,working very slowly witha Dremel tool. Once removed I put on my new one and that brought it up to Stateline Guns in Mason NH. They pinned my new one in place while I waited and it was like $35.
