I'm glad they met with empty shelves! Being stupid has to have consequences otherwise lessons are never learned.

Remember, "Preppers Are Crazy"...........but THEIR shelves are full.

Sooner or later, people will get over their "Normalcy Bias" and learn that tomorrow, next week, next month, next year may not be like today or last week or month.

If all those people who happened upon empty shelves had put away 2 cans of food a week for the past month, they'd have nothing to worry about. I hope their hunger burns indelibly into their memory.

I like how they have to define what 'freezing rain' is, for the unexperienced
I've lived in MA for 15 years now, and I don't think I've experienced freezing rain here. Used to drive on that shit regularly in eastern Oregon and Washington.

My son in Junction City said they closed I-70 in both directions and stopped running plows because they had zero visibility. (They have no mountains or trees to block snow, yanno.)

Monday morning they finally opened the emergency routes, but everything else was still closed. His store was on Day 3 of being closed because no one could get there. One BIL in KC is retired and stayed home. The other works for the state prison in Lansing and worked back to back 16 hour shifts at the hospital.
