I have from my pre Clinton hoarding days a number of USGI M14 magazines that are not for sale. I know they fit in a Springfield M1A or variant, but was curious if there are other .308 firearms that accept these mags such as DPMS 308, or the Stoner SR-25.

Thank you

They will not fit in any KAC .308's, DPMS, or RRA. As posted above, if modified, they will work with the Armalite AR-10 and also the Noveske N6 series. You also have Fulton Armory and LRB Arms for current production M-14's.

I know A.I.M. was making an M-10 bolt action rifle that accepts M-14 magazines and Robar was converting Remington 700's to also accept the 20rd M-14 magazines, (which I think is kind of neat). I was wondering if a Savage Scout could be converted to do the same...

True, but they need to be modified with a plunger installed on the follower to activate the bolt catch.

I think that is only required if you want the bolt hold-open to work. But I do think that it requires a cut-out to be performed on the body for the magazine catch.

I think your correct, so you could use the mag in a pinch. I used to own an AR10 and I can't remember if the mag conversion was more than just the plunger installation

I still have an AR10, but haven't shot it in a while. IIRC, in addition to the pain-in-the-butt follower, the mag body needs to have a square hole put in the side for the magazine catch.
