My local gun store has one for $399, new.
looking to do some cheap indoor range shooting and I figured i can't go wrong.
also i like the fact 9mm, I'm standardizing some what on 9mm at the present time.
also 10rd standard capacity. I could use this as truck/car/tool box gun so i dont care if it gets scratched.
i assume the feel and weight of 45 and this will keep me from running my more expensive gold cup

Junk or OK, for the price?
any real mechanical differences from standard 45?

here old thread but not much info

They’re decent for the price and for cheap range shooting. However, I would look at Tisas as well. They have forged slides and frames and no mim parts. I have a Tisas Duty in 9mm- great gun for the price.

I have one and love it. Light recoil, trigger is a bit coarse and could use some better sights, but very reliable. Can only fit 8 in the 10 rnd mag.

This.

I have a Tisas Duty in 9mm.....prefer it vs. Rock in the land of bargain basement 1911's.......just a little better quality and features.

On a sale I paid $400 for mine at Classic Firearms......they have a good selection Tisas.

I like my Rock Island, although I won't buy a GI gun again since I ended up spending a bunch on upgrades anyways.

Hard pass on Turkish guns.

Tisas comes with most of the upgrades for the same price as RI.
Tisas isn't on the approved roster sadly. Otherwise for $300+tax+transfer I'd have my first .45 ACP 1911
Never bothered me when I was in MA. Are they worrying about lists now...you dont even need to register in MA anymore til 2026 no?
Also some online vendors charge no tax still. Especially in MA because they don't do enough business to MA.

Did you end up picking it up? If not, mind dropping the name of the shop?

No, spent a lot of money with Beretta on 10 rd mags for my 96 and 92s and then 30 percent at Christmas and some galico holster for same, to be compliant, no money left.

Lotus gun works Jensen beach Fl. On line like buds was less about a transfer fee if you're in a free state.
