Ive been seeing these all over gunbroker for cheap. Once i get my LTC-A i want a good basic, no frills, GI-style 1911A1. Are rock island 1911s any good? How do they compare to the numerous american brands out there? Build quality? accuracy? reliability? For $365 they seem like really nice guns. any input would be appreciated.

I don't have one. But I have seen quite a few. They seem like very nice 1911s. They definitely feel well made and are nicely finished. You would want to confirm this but I was told that they don't take all standard 1911 mags.. Something to look into.
