I am in the market for an RPK, to add to my 7.62x39 collection. I don't really care about historical value, just a shooter and to have fun. I'm not that smart about the different varients and am looking for a nice gun, not a beat up shooter. Shotgun News has some from J&G Sales and a US made one from www.ioinc.us . I am a MA resident so I know they can't ship me a mag.

Any advice or pointers are welcome.

i believe Zero Hour Arms has one for sale. Not my style, so I didn't check the price. But, I do recall that the condition looked very good. You may wish to give them a call and check it out.

The Romanian AES-10B (RPK clone) is probably the best money I've spent in a long time regarding a new gun.

Call Zero Hour.

IMO the Yugos are no better than the AES-10B models. I'd say they're both equal in quality, function, and accuracy with one exception... the AES-10B has a club foot stock to use and get a better grip on when firing.

I have only fired a few RPK clones and one real one. Of the clones I've fired, all were memorable, but the Arsenal Inc RPK stands out as one of the most aesthetically pleasing and downright accurate rifles I've ever fired. It ran like a Swiss watch and was so accurate as to be completely surprising...
