Will the takedown backpack fit the receiver with a scope still attached or do you have to take the scope off the receiver?

Mine has a fixed 4x scope and still fit the backpack after takedown. No need to detached from the receiver. That's my defination of takedown rifle.

Thanks. It seemed silly if I had to take the scope off the receiver each time. Looks like I'll be calling FS first thing Tuesday morning.

Yeah, I would keep buying 10/22's. They are cheap enough and fun as hell to shoot. I am calling FS as well and telling them to hold one.

I have a 4x32 Optical scope that came with the Four Seasons package deal back in January and it is awesome. It is extremely accurate and first time shooters can hit dead center all day with it. It is my favorite .22 rifle and I'd look into a 4x32 scope, they are inexpensive too.

Call them up. They're usually pretty good about knowing what they have for stock and with a popular item like this I'm sure they've got the numbers figured out.

Says on their site, if they sell "the first 50 guns in 10 days..." So, I am guessing they have more then 50. I have to go to Peabody today to pick up a group buy on t-shirts, and have to drive right by FS. Hmmmm.....

I do think it's cool they are still doing the bag with the rifle. I figured by now Ruger would have stopped that, and just had the rifle by itself.

i ordered this gun from fs with the scope combo. carl informed me that the rifle will not fit in the bag with the scope attached (scope is too long). i took a refund for the scope but need to find something that will fit. has anyone found a shorter scope that will fit into the bag while attached to the gun? thanks.

Nothing yet. I just shoot mine with factory sights. I do want a red dot or something though.

I know Chinalfr put a Simmons 4x on his. He posted it here somewhere.
