Figured a seperate thread was in order since I've seen a few proud 10/22 owners recently post pics. Here are my two:

One is tactical target with a Dragunov type stock and target barrel and the other is just plain tactical with a folding stock, high cap magazines and standard short barrel. Yes it feels wrong using those terms when talking about 22 rimfire rifles but hey, foreign police and military groups use them for riot control and other situations.
No matter what both are fun and offer a day of shooting for cheap money.[grin]

Nice looking 10/22's. I always wanted to get one and finally bought one from a 'For Sale' here at NES a while back.

Midway has promotions once in a while for barrel/stock combos so I added a fluted SS barrel & Fajen stock. Very comfortable and shoots great. Lots of fun for little $$. Plus it almost matches my cat.

I have the basic 10/22 with stainless (non-target) steel barrel and synthetic stock. I've decided I do not like the synthetic stock very much. Can anyone recommend a nice thin wooden stock that is fairly light? I see a lot of stocks for the bull barrels, but not so many for the regular diameter barrel.

Would a factory wooden stock do? They are somewhat plentiful with the number of people who swap them out...seen them for sale frequently on Rimfirecentral.

Very nice.. I like it.

I don't have a camera but this one is just like mine.

Mine has a tasco 3-9 scope on it but I have a meuller APV 4.5-14 on order.
I've done a trigger job on it, floated the barrel, bedded the barrel and reciever, and added a bolt buffer to it. It's a fun little shooter.

I have a regular wood stock that I took off my stainless 10/22 that you can have for very short money. I put on one of those laminate stocks, just like Milsurps4Me took off his.

It's all a matter of taste, I guess.

rockrivr how the hell did you get yours like that????

maybe id take mine shooting every now and then if mine looked like that!

I found a guy locally that was selling the conversion kit. He bought it and decided not to put it on so I bought it from him. It was pretty easy to install. Shoots great. They have a kit that will make it look like and AK as well. Their web site is Krinkerplinker.com.

you can not put a folding stock on a 10/22
but if it's preban, then you can, other otpion would be to have it pinned

Butler Creek and Eagle plastic lip magazines work fine in mine. I have 2 Butler Creek 25 rounders that snap together and 1 Eagle 30 round mag. No background info on any of them because I got them from 2 old timers that don't shoot anymore. All I know is they have plastic/rubber lips and feed great.

This is supposed to be a family board, you know...

+1000 on the Eagle. I just dumped 30 rounds through mine last night when I was out shooting with n1zfq and another friend (newbie who's applying for his permit next week). (Hey, DAMN!!! I forgot to get pix for a New Shooter report for Kim DuToit!) Anyway, I got tired of 10 rounds at a time and thought I'd just load up the 30 rounder and did a mag dump. I've never had a problem with that mag at all... even when it was in n1zfq's AMT 10/22 clone.

Thank Remington & Federal for cheap .22 ammo!!! [wink]

On a side note... I have 2 high cap Mini 14 mags that I think were made by Eagle and they function great for me. They may look and feel cheesy because they're plastic but ever round goes in the chamber and thats what counts for me.
