Ruger Mini-14 (NRA) Rifle Anyone?

I was wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with the new Ruger Mini-14 NRA edition rifles? I've seen some prices of these that are comparable to a mid-range AR-15 (approx $750-$800). I was originally thinking of a DPMS AR-15 rifle for my next purchase, but am now not so sure.

A Mini-14 I think is a 4 MOA rifle at best. I think you're better off with an AR15 unless you can swing multiple guns and just want the Mini for itself.

I have a 20 YO ranch rifle and I love it. The only bummer is the goofy B square mount for the scope. I never liked that but it is a great rifle, I wouldn't trade mine.

Lefty alert!

Be careful if you are left handed. My one time shooting a mini 14 resulted in brass hitting me in the face, and no I have no desire to retest this expereince

Really??? I would think it was worse. The "A" team couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with theirs.

I thought that the new Mini 14's were better? Something along the lines of a more sturdy barrel.
