I don't know , think your over thinking it. Buy a factory pistol with factory rails and holes or send it in to ruger...

Having never done this before, it was kind of terrifying.

I was super careful, took my time, checked and measured everything several times, verified specifications, confirmed cutter speeds, etc.

I practiced on a chunk of scrap aluminum first:

It turned out OK. so I did it on the actual gun:

The holes line up!

and it all fit together!

I have not test fired it yet, but I have high confidence; everything fit nicely without any fuss.

I was a little anxious about the two holes directly over the barrel, 'cuz "too deep" really would ruin the gun.

The bottom of the receiver has three flat bits for indexing, but they're not at the same height from the top. So I had to make a jig to keep the receiver level. The front and rear flat bits are 0.035" different.

see some times you just have to do it. and when/if you fudge it up just JB weld the SOB on! No go put 5k rounds through that thing like its ment to do!!!
