Ruger Model 77 temporarily discontinued

the price of the 77 line has kept me away. perhaps like 10 years ago there was a place for them, but compared to competition I just see no point any longer. hopefully they can bring some of the pistol chamberings over to the american line.

then again i'm still waiting for ruger to make an LCR 3" in 357 mag (not just the 38 model) and bring back the PC9 carbine, so I guess I have some waiting to do!
 
The Gunsite Scout Rifle is built on the model 77 action, and AFAIK it's still very much available.
I wish Ruger had done the same as Mossberg and used standard magazines. I get that they didn't want to modify the bolt, but it would be a big improvement in my book

I'm not sure there are any revolver-caliber bolt actions currently being manufactured. Plenty of lever actions, though.
