Funny how they machine it so well but make a shitty front sight. It could have been a lot worse. Even Glock sights fall off occasionally.

Ben, I still prefer the Series 70. Also, never said it was better, said I preferred the SR over the Remington. If I didn't live in this shit ass state, I'd have the best 1911 for the price point. STi Spartan.

The whole 70vs80 is bull shit . A good smith can make both trigger feel good and you can allways swap some parts out

I had the rear sight blade on my Wilson break off while shooting it. IIRC, drgrant, WilliamMunny and PaulD where there when it happened.

And yes I was serious. I don't care for Remington as a company. I also don't like Ruger because it was started by King FUDD.
But I would love a SR1911. I don't want to pay premium or find a dealer willing to transfer me a STI just because it's a slightly better 1911. For shooting steel + living in my safe the SR will fit me well. Keep your SR and buy a Spartan when you can, this coming from a person that is guilty of seller's remorse.

true... i tried to blow mine up, well ok, didn't TRY, but i could have easily. ended up having these mystery reloads lock the gun up so tight i needed a hammer to open it. i did this three times and after i noticed i was bleeding i decided it was time to stop this ridiculousness.
