Ruger SR1911 Commander

Got to fire it today and I love this gun. It has taken the role of carry gun, and now I'm not sure what to do with a SR9c I bought with it. All well, it only cost me $263 so I guess it'll just be my truck gun.

Don't use lock tight you'll hate your self when you wanna take then off ..

Just use blue Locktite in the red tube. It'll be fine.

Someone posted the CMD was leaving claw marks in the ejected brass which is not desirable for reloading. Any owners have this issue?

I didn't inspect the brass, so I don't know. I am going shooting this weekend so I'll check it out.

Saw Ruger developed a 1911 Commander and I had to have it. Not a fan of the 5" 1911s, they just look goofy to me. This one with the 4.25" barrel looks amazing, and feels the same.

Only complaint is the lack of checking, the front of the grip can be a bit slick. Other than that it's awesome. Great sights, great trigger, looks beautiful, Made In America, and with my discount through work I only paid $408 for it.

Can't wait to shoot it on Sunday.
