So.... I carry a G26 and love it. It's literally impervious to my sweat-inducing self. Except for the friggin TruGlo TFO night sights I have on there... apparently.
I've had the TFO's for about a year and love them. But I only recently noticed some rust on the sights... where the back of the sights contact the top of the slide... etc.
I put some oil on the area and used a qtip to get the rust off... and it pretty much disappeared. So it seems to be just a lot of surface rust.
My questions is... even though the Glock is rust proof... if there is surface rust on the sights that contact the top of the slide (origin of the rust is the rear sight)... will rust eat into the slide? Or will the slide still be rust proof?
