This is my S&W M&P40C as customized by Dan Burwell. It includes about everything he offers, including "sharkskin" texturing, trigger job with overstop, hard chrome slide, barrel and controls with brushed accents on slide, Burwell rear night sight with S&W front night sight, CTC Laser Grips, etc. The trigger job is spectacular.

The more I look at it I really like it. The only thing that stops me from getting an M&P is the lack of hi-cap mags. Maybe a M&P9C with a polished slide would be nice. [grin]

Probably one of the nicest M&P's i've seen. Can I ask how much it cost for the trigger job and slide?

Dan Burwell did a laundry list of modifications for me. His work is impressive, especially the trigger job. I have about $ 750.00 invested in modifications which includes the CTC Laser Grips. The street price on the laser is about $ 235.00.

Looks great but not sure I'd add $750 in extras into an M&P. Range report? I wanna see pics of targets!

I met Rob at the S&W Tour last Fall. I saw the gun and his target! It's awesome, that's for sure (much prettier in person than the pictures can show). Rob's a great guy, as he also helped give some pointers on grip to my Wife (we were in the shooting bay next to him), which improved her hits tremendously. We were shooting the rental M&P 9 with a MA "rubber-band trigger".

Here's a shot of the sights. The front is a S&W factory night sight, and the rear is a customized Burwell Gunsmithing sight with dehorned edges, 40 LPI serrations, single "operator" style tritium vial without white outline. It is a "ledge" style to allow for one handed drills. At night the rear tritium dot is very sharp and easy to distinguish from the front sight. My old eyes get much faster front sight acqusition with this set-up.

I really like the shark skin. What is the final pull weight of the trigger?

A crisp, smooth 4.5 lbs. The reset and and take-up were also greatly improved. Dan's trigger jobs include improvements to the striker and safety plunger.

Since the gun is short, my trigger finger was nearly pointing backwards at the break point. Dan set the trigger forward and added a welded overtravel stop for me.

The trigger can be made lighter for competition applications, but below about 4 lbs. it starts to get a bit mushy.
