S&W MP 9MM SHIELD IS AWESOME

I am shooting horribly with the Shield due to heavy trigger. How do I know? I tried out multiple platforms freestanding and can put all rounds in a 3-4 inch grouping at 21 feet. With the Shield I get get an outlier here and there. But when I am prone/sitting/benched I can put the rounds in a 3-4 group. I figured the trigger pull was throwing me off. I ordered an Apex kit! Christmas Present for myself. Will let you guys know what changes in my grouping after the install.

Good Luck and great Christmas Present to yourself, you will like it, the APEX kit makes a world of difference in a Shield...

Ya the plastic one is for when you are installing the new sight, you feed it in and than push it out with the new sight...

I think it was the early Shields that were having a hard time getting the rear sight out, mine came out real easy with my brass punch and hammer... I had other sights come out harder than the Shields sight, as I said that came out real easy...

I would say try taking your sight off 1st before buying a sight removing tool..

Good Luck...
Thanks for the experience and tip. Before I order anything, I will try your method.

I got the apex kit and installed it. Haven't tried it on the range yet. The rear sight was a B*TCH to remove. Took over 2 hours and destroyed 2 brass custom punches.

Dry fire: seems like everything is really smooth and not gritty or heavy at all.

Thanks for the advice.
