Just like the IZ-332 7.62x39 models that came in they have the front end work already done for you. The FSB is threaded for a 74 brake and has a small metal sleeve tack welded over the threads for import purposes. Not to mention the lug is actually a cleaning rod holder and has no ears so it won't lock a bayonet which makes these MA ok.
Early prices are $469 which isn't bad considering if you wanted to swap out the FSB and add a real lower handguard retainer for using AK furniture and a cleaning rod, you'd be up there in price after buying upper and lower handguards, the lower retainer, a new gas tube, cleaning rod, and a 74' FSB plus doing the work to a Saiga in 5.45 yourself. The Russians already did the hard work so all these require is basic conversion steps for the FCG.
