Picked up one of these on sale at FS the other day (also had a $30.00 mfg. rebate) Man is this thing fun as hell and a tack driver. I put on a Nikon prostaff rimfire 3x9x40 w/Vortex medium height rings and wow this is such a fun rifle to plink with. Very happy with this purchase and the best thing of all was the entire rig w/glass, was under 300 bucks![smile]

I have the same gun also with a 3-9 scope and I agree with you. Fun little bolt gun for cheap money. I got mine on sale for like $160 a few years back.

the fun begins at 100-200 yards out. I have a few 22s and they are a blast to shoot when they are "Accurate"

I plan on taking it to the 100/200yd range very soon. Hopefully it does well with Federal Automatch bulk packs..LOL thats all I got! @50yds, I was putting holes within holes.

It's a boltgun, it'll literally shoot ANY .22lr. I've fed mine federal automatch, HV match, win superx, cci minimags, and some aguila and all shot great and had great-acceptable accuracy. I really want to try some cci quiets.

Walmart seems to have them in stock lately

For middle of the road SK standard plus has been doing well by me and my rifles.

CCI Quiets are amazing. Shooting them out of my daughters' bolt action Rascal (only a 16" barrel) the gun is quieter my 16" Ruger 10/22 with my YHM Mite silencer on it running hv ammo.

It is really amazing stuff.

Out of my 10/22 with a 22 inch barrel its stupid quiet and out of the same 22 inch 10/22 with the Mite on it holding the bolt in place it is quieter still.

I love the stuff. The only down side to it is that it won't cycle most semi-auto guns.

I bought a Savage MKII .22lr about 3 years ago. . I shoot lefty, so I have a left-handed model. I was just out shooting it this morning and set 100 rds or so through it. My 2 cents on the Savage MKII : The wood is cheap, and not very pretty. This is good for me, because the rifle cost less than $200 new, and not having fancy wood means I am willing to take it out all day in the drizzle or snow while small game hunting.
