Picked up a Savage Model 10GXP3 package gun in .308 from four seasons last week and went to HSC on Friday and I must say I'm extreamly pleased with it. This thing was shooting sub 1 inch groups from the 100. I know the scope it came with is less than optimal so I am looking for some suggestions for a good scope that is bewteen $100-$300. I'd also like to know if anyone can suggest some bipods for it, I'm leaning twords Harris but not sure which one, I primarily plan on using this at the 200-300 yrd range at HSC. I'll post pic's as soon as I get a chance. I also want to say I have heard mixed reviews on the accutrigger but I think it is great, I tuned mine down to the lowest setting and it suits me fine, no trigger creep or stiffness. Savage has defenitly won me over. By the way this is my first experience with a bolt action gun and I think I am hooked, I was almost going to go trade in my DPMS AP4 to buy a few more bolt actions.

That is the 308 that I am saving up for. I'm going to buy one without a scope and purchase a Super Sniper 10x fixed for it if the stars align properly.

I would suggest the Super Sniper from Riflescopes.com I have one mounted on my DPMS LR308 and it is the fixed 20x and love it. I got it for just under $300.. Check them out and read the reviews.
