I got a (new) used .22 Marlin 39A and she's a beauty. I think that it will need to be "scoped in" for accuracy. Before I bring her to the range, can you fine NES alumni give me any suggestions? Here she is:
It is a beauty in dark walnut, rated for 22 short, 22 SR and 22 LR. What is the best for ensuring the scope is accurate? What range is best for pinpointing the scope? 25 yds, 50 yds, etc. I have ammo that is good up to 1 1/2 miles [according to Remington].
I am guessing 22LR SV (I have a brick of CCI 22LR SV) is the best for bench sighting and ensuring/tweaking the scope. I am just not sure the logistics of what I should be looking for/watch out for, etc.
I know there are YouTube vids, etc. but I wanted to get the prospective of many of you whom I call friends and fellow gun enthusiasts. You will know more than some Joe on the Interwebz!![Smile [smile] [smile]](/xen/styles/default/xenforo/smilies.vb/001.gif)
