My S&W M&P 15FT came nicely outfitted with a Troy front rail and flip-up sights. I added an Eotech 512 when I got tired of using the iron sights with my bifocals and a sighting aperture.

Ok, it wasn't mine; it was Uncle Sam's M-16... I added a front post rail for a flashlight mount, and Uncle Sam provided a very nice red dot CCO for us. I never needed to mount the flashlight.

I also had a mamba sling, mag well cover, and Otis cleaning kit with a Hoppe's bore snake (made cleaning SO moch easier!).

I had a red dot on mine for about 5 minutes...

But I've got something new in the planning... not so much tacticool, but it should be slick and functional.

I chose "regular magnifying scope".Only because I have never heard of a scope referred to in that way before.
