Well to be fair it has been a bit of a trend:When one of these events happens, two things are true.
Gun control advocates will blame an AR not even knowing what gun was used, fervently hoping it was something they want to ban.
And, NES will jump on any rumor that it was a trans person not even knowing the sex or gender of the shooter, fervently hoping it was something they want to ban.
- The Nashville school shooting in March 2023, where Audrey Hale, identified as transgender by police, killed six people.
- The Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs in November 2022, where Anderson Lee Aldrich, who identified as non-binary, killed 5 people.
- The shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch in Denver in May 2019, where one of the shooters, Alec McKinney, was transgender, resulting in one student killed and eight others wounded.
