So, I'm sick of the stupidly long length of pull on my S-12... I'm equally sick of the retardedly long barrel; but, shortening that is beyond my meager skills. I have a Choate MAK-90 dragunov style thumb-hole made out of fiberglass and polymer. Here is a pic of what I'm working with.

My intentions, for the sake of not screwing with how the butt pad mounts, is to actually cut out a length in the center of the stock and reattach the butt pad and sling mount closer to the receiver. Before just hacking this stock into pieces, I'm looking for some input on a few questions.

1) Has anyone here shortened a polymer and fiberglass stock before? Are there any special considerations I need to take into account?
2) The amount of surface area I will have to reattach the two parts will be small, can anyone recommend an epoxy adhesive or other bonding agent that will take the abuse of repeated 12 gauge recoil?
3) Is there a better option?

Any input is appreciated, Thank you.
