The inertia system that the m2/stoeger m2000 has is simple. Its not gas and has no seals

Beretta owns many Names but the guns are made by other companies. Corners are cut for the stoger vs the benelli. The recoil system is different also
If it works for you that's all that matters.
You are correct the inertia in the bolt is the same exactly but benelli has the recoil spring in the stock. The stoeger has it under the forearm. Which some say is better cause its more easily accessed. But i have no idea.

And what did you pay for it?
See post above i paid $299. Just shot another 100 rounds of trap tonight and its flawless. Very satisfied. Its easy to break the whole bolt down just a few parts and the barrel is chrome lined. It cleans right up
Mine was the oldest model and had the best wood (actually a decent piece of walnut)
There were some others there that were a little newer for 349. I was also just in dicks in leominster and they had 4 of them for 349 on closeout.
Pump shotguns are the way to go. People forget that the seals have to be maintained on the semi-autos. Most people don't but its in the manuals. I am a victim of Murphy's law so I try to limit my exposure to it with complicated machines that have lots of parts to break
Im not so sure of this. The last two 870 i bought were trash. The guys on the line next to me last night were not to happy with their pumps. One had an 870 that jammed bad and the other a mossy that kept getting shells stuck in the chamber that wouldnt extract.
I have a benelli nova that runs pretty sweet. My cheap chinese hawk hd gun ran better than those guys guns last night.

The 1100 needs very little. A wipe of internals every 500 rounds or so. I know a few 1100 trap shooters that don't even think about "cleaning" until a few thousand. I agree...I have an 1187 and it runs pretty good. The finish sucks and will surface rust...but it's sportsman, so I didn't pay much for it.
I've had no luck with the pumps and it wasn't due to the rust prohibitor, because I had to take the damn things apart they jammed so bad. Cleaned the hell out of them and jammed again....
