Showing driver’s license with LTC?

Definitely low on the gay scale of things some FFL's have done.

I wouldn't have cared about showing the DL

Lots of shops require a photo copy of ID and even a phone number. One of the reasons is it makes the inevitable ATF audit less of a complete trainwreck. The idea is the shop wants as much info as possible so it can correct mistakes.
