Thanks jon......That is Interesting...So Is this a fake picture?
Did that pic come from Crimson Trace? Possibly the frame was re-done somehow to make it look like this? I am by no means a Sig expert but I do not recall any factory P229s that come that way.
Not sure when they made them but they did make this gun as I had one that I had bought used and I recently sold it to another NES member-and regret it Here is a pic.
It was a 229 in .357 SIG
How much do these things weigh?
CPO - Certified Pre-Owned
Yes, they make a 22 conversion kit for the 220's.
The 220 ST is out of production, every now and again you see used ones for sale. Try a WTB in the classifieds here.
No, the ST's aren't MA compliant.
Not to go off topic buttt..
I'm also looking at an 220 ST CPO.
Are you looking at the P220-ST because of aesthetics or for something else? IMO the regular P220s are actually a better handling gun, they weigh a hell of a lot less, and I don't think the recoil is really that much different. The P220-ST was really "all dressed up and no place to go" more or less. It was an answer in search of the question that was never asked. If you like the way it looks, go for it, but IMO you'd be better off with an old school german/w.german alloy framed P220.

Can the .40 cal barrel be replaced in the 229 with the .357sig version?
