Sig P238 opinions

Trade for a Shield or a PM9/CM9. How's the .380 match your Trans Am huh? [laugh]

I do have a 9mm shield and i still choose to carry my sig p238....so what if its a 380 but at least i know it will go bang every time...so the shield stays in the safe, and i did consider the pm9 but racking it back was rough so i went with the sig and have no regrets

Body Guard is simply not reliable. They are hit and miss, a real embarrassment for S&W and has turned me off to thief brand.

I shot one magazine with a Bodyguard and thought there is no way I could carry a gun like this. I was very disappointed with it as we'll.

Both my wife and I have P238s. Great little guns and I pocket carry (with holster) or IWB under a tshirt fairly often.

I was looking at these size guns hoping to carry when I go on my late night runs. I was able to get a chance to check out the p238 yesterday and was very impressed with the build quality. I think I'm gonna go for it.

Its a sig..would you expect anything less? Lol

I've had the P238 for over a year with 400 round thru it and not one FTF. love the trigger and shots straight, even though I'm blind LOL. Anyways I enjoy the pistol alot. Build quality is great.

If you are amazed by the build quality wait until you see how accurate these little sigs are. I have a 938 and its far and away my favorite handgun.

+1, love my P938,small but just the right weight, big full size sig night sights.
just put in the 20lb wolffe mustang .380 hammer spring and the stainless steel trigger. the 238 and 938 take the same trigger.

How well did the spring help?

I forgot that there were some replacement triggers available.

Love my Sig 238. There is no comparison to the bodyguard, the sig is a far superior gun. Having shot many, I consider it the best .380 on the market.

i belive the stock is 23 and the reduced is 20. at the same time i bent the tab on the sear return spring a little, polished the hammer where it touches the sear, installed the new trigger and the little peg it comes with inside the trigger return spring, and put some synthetic grease on everything .
i can't say what the spring alone does, i did it all at once.
from what i read stock is around 8.5lbs and it felt gritty to me. my guess is around 5 or just under now.
when stock after a 100rd range session the tip of my trigger finger hurt !!

8.5lbs and gritty is how mine felt before I polished the sear and adjusted the sear spring. I absolutely love mt 238. As soon as funds permit and I find a 938 its going to be in my collection. I don't always feel comfortable carrying a 380 but the 9 would be sweet. I have over 400rds down the tube and never had a jam or FTE. Stupid accurate as well. The wife loves it and she is trying to take it from me.

Buy one and don't look back.
