Do Glocks ever have trigger spring failures at high round counts?

I’ve replaced extractors and firing pins on ARs within 7500 rounds. Does that mean ARs are unreliable and should be avoided.

How does a small spring wearing out translate to “He could have died”?

He meant that if the spring didn't break during practice, it could have broken on the next shot or two if he had to use it for self-defense.

Glocks are perfect in every way, it's literally their tagline - they wouldn't lie.

This is far from the first issue I've heard of with low round count P365s. Highly inconsistent quality shouldn't be a surprise - Ron Cohen did the same crap at Kimber.

I will say I had a Gen2 G17 that I shot over 12k round through without cleaning and it ran fine. I finally cleaned it just because I felt like a dick for letting it go so long. Put like 30k rounds through that gun before i sold it and never replaced a thing.

This. I built/building back up my Glock SHTF bug out bag situation on pistols, but after that Im building up all the spare parts kits upper and lower, recoil guide rods and and springs, and actually a few spare built off brand lowers.

Already did the same with my AR stuff project. Assuming in the future if SCOTUS rolls.....none of this shit may be available. Maybe pantshitting but better safe than sorry and financially and timewise im in a good place to do it.

For every pistol/AR there is a full parts kit or more to replace everything.

Everything is on sale/available and nobody cares about gun shit right now. This is the time to buy.

Always have shit on hand and replace it prior to it breaking. That way you can use the old shit for emergency spares instead of replacing and throwing away broken shit.

Agree, but parts are so cheap and available for glocks its just easy to get a whole upper and lower kit for like around 100 bucks and keep it spare for each one.

Im headed to grab a G19 gen 4, barely fired LNIB excellent condition box and 3 mags, I found for $350 at BPS of all places......wasn't going to bother, but can't pass it up. Its very cherry condition. I may switch to the 19 for summer down here... give it a try anyway as I haven't had a 19 for a long time....

No they are super gay and the first thing that goes into and Glock I buy are steel night sights, second thing is the stock slide stop. I stock these parts, Tru Glo nights sights have been pretty good and i get them on Amazon when they have their deal days for below 50 bucks.

I mean this is where Glock is just fxcking gay.......change this shit out come in with a real slide stop and at least steel or night sights. Even the dumb 350 dollar shitty RXM has a decent steel night sight on the front.

I have about 10 sets from all the glocks Ive bought then sold up there, then bought again down here you can have.

On my pistols, I usually replace recoil springs every ~5k rounds and, assuming I can find a full spring kit, all the springs every 10k. I only have a few pistols that I have put over 10k rounds through. When ammo was cheaper and I had more time and fewer kids, I would shoot about 5-6k a year. I only had 4 firearms back then. Any time I buy a used pistol, unless it really looks like it has never been shot, I replace all the springs as I have no way of knowing how many rounds have actually been through it. SIG used to make it easy by selling a kit that had all the springs and roll pins included. I still have a few of those around as I usually ordered several at a time. If I can't find OEM, I buy Wolff service packs if possible. Probably excessive, but something I have done since taking classes at the SIG Academy in the 90s. At the time at least, the instructor recommended the 5k recoil spring replacement as cheap insurance against battering some other part of the firearm to failure. It made enough sense to me that I have just always done that.
