Sig to start Shipping TWO mags again.

To Our Valued SIGnificant Dealers:

In an effort to continue an uninterrupted supply of handguns for your shelves, SIG SAUER, Inc. has instituted a program to ship our Classic pistols with one magazine. Your response has been overwhelmingly positive. Most dealers have thanked us for enabling them to better satisfy their customer's needs in a more timely manner, SIG SAUER, Inc. is pleased to help deliver profitability to your stores whenever possible.

The market demand has remained high; however, SIG SAUER, Inc. has found ways to increase magazine production. We are pleased to announce that Classic guns manufactured after June 3, 2009 will ship with two magazines once again. Inventory manufactured prior to June 3, 2009 (date is on the box label) will continue to ship with one magazine. Dealers existing inventories will not be adjusted.

So we all got screwed during the peak of the rush-- what else is new in this world of supply and demand- can you say gasoline at $5.00/ gallon and home heating oil at the same price come October?? Who knows, just start flexing and get ready because it is coming again to a home near you

Probably not. Sig appears to be taking a strict line with their dealers - "Dealers existing inventories will not be adjusted."

Sig's are a quality piece, but for the price you pay a second mag should be standard. It doesn't cost much to manufacture, and most companies selling guns in the price range of a Sig come with 2 mags. That is the least they can do after you pay that kind of $$$ for a gun.

Sig's customer service sucks. I sent in the rebate forms last year to them for to get an extra mag, holster and light. Actually I sent in two for two separate pistol purchases. They got one and filled it. The other one they claimed they never received. I had copies of the paperwork and offered to send it to them. They said no.

Sig can go to hell in this regards. I appealed to their management with a tough luck response. They don't care about their customers. They don't believe their customers. They don't believe their customers paper trail. They suck moose balls.

Sig's customer service bites. I'm still thinking of filing a small claims court action against them.

Pretty much. Sig thanks you all for purchasing at the height of the panic.
But, seriously, Walther did the same thing with their PPS (1 mag).

The thing that REALLY irks me though is they have the nerve to charge $50+ for a low capacity, current production magazine (that is probably outsourced to Mecgar).
