single action

The ruger 22s are nice. loading/unloading SA is sort of a pain. I'd give it a try before dropping $.

Plenty of nice S&W revolvers that you can fire both SA and DA. Seems like the way I'd go. But if you really want the SA style then go for it.

For SA in MA, Ruger is the way to go.

What they said. Plenty of DA revolvers out there that'll work, unless you're in love with the idea of a "real" SA (like the Ruger Vaquero, which is sweet) or really want one o' them cowboy calibers (i.e. .45 Colt).

My question is revolver or semi auto? My answer for both would be the same Ruger. New Vaquero for the revolver and Mark III these day's for the semi auto.

You can't go wrong with a Ruger single action.

The Single-Six is a good one to start with. Mine shoots well with the Federal bulk pack ammo from Wally World.

Jack

OH Yes a very fine piece. 22lr and 22mag cylinder, OH the power. Talk about 22 fun at any reasonable yardage.

I just bought myself a Ruger Single Six and Four Seasons has a special on them so thats a pretty good option. Shooting it this weekend. [smile]
