Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm "Blue Steel" Edition by 1776 Gunsmithing

We will give you exact dimensions once we stress test the dog out of the builds. I don't feel comfortable about giving details on custom builds until I know the fails of it. I don't want to give out information regarding custom builds before I make sure I know everything regarding functionality. Thanks - Don

I'm interested to see what you end up with for the recoil spring weight. Unlike glocks which do well with reduced recoil springs, M&P's have a reputation of not going into battery reliably with them. Dan Burwell recommends the factory spring.

The problem with the M&P is that just as the slide is chambering a round it is also fully cocking the striker. To overcome the striker spring, you need a full power recoil spring. I found out the hard way.

Ok NES'ers I need more feedback from people who compete using extended mag wells. Please take a look at these pictures and tell me what you think. These were made out of medical grade plastic (aluminum was quite heavy) The fit is super tight and the machining is perfectly to spec. DSC_0725.jpg DSC_0731.jpg
