Been keeping my eye out and open...but all I have are dry eyes. I even wrote an early letter to Santa. If something doesn't happen soon --- I might have to put this $ away to PAY FOR TAXES this year.

One thing to keep in mind is the Pro for sale in the second link has the front strap stippled. From what I understand that gun is only ESP legal in IDPA. For M&P's only the removable backstrap is allowed to be stippled to be SSP legal. The Pro in the first link as it is described is both SSP and ESP legal.

Put some skateboard tape over the stipling to get back to SSP.

ya from what I read stippling is prohibited even in SSP, but grip tape is allowed. And i think i read somewhere that just because its a M&P Pro its automatically moved into the ESP category. oops thats the XDm sorry!

BassPro in Foxborough had an M&P Pro 1911 in their case last week, for $2200 or so... Looking at the catalog it was a model 178011. 5" 8+1 .45ACP

$2200 at Bass Pro? That means you could get it for $1100 at Four Seasons, if there was such a thing as an M&P 1911, which there isn't.
