Social Group Limit in UserCP?

Having joined my 10th Social Group (Wal-Mart Ammo), I noticed an anomaly of some sort.

When I go to UserCP it only shows 9 Social Groups . . . and only the first 9 that I joined. Even though there was new posts in the Wal-Mart Ammo social group, it does not come up. I have to actively go look in that social group to see if anyone created a new thread, etc.

Is this a vB bug? Or a setting that Derek can change?

D, that's what I suspected.

You might push that up to the folks that create vB for future consideration. The "sort" by date feature also doesn't work right when you are showing a list of all social groups.

OK, now it gets even stranger!!

I chose to Unsubscribe from one social group with no activity in >1 year. It shows that I'm no longer a member.

BUT, it is still listed in UserCP as a Social Group that I Subscribe to! DOH!!?

Let me close this out.

Turns out to be "operator error"!!

There is a convoluted mechanism at play here so that even if you "join" a group, it doesn't show up until/unless you also "subscribe" to it. Conversely, if you drop out, you have to "unsubscribe" from it or it stays in your list forever.

So there is no arbitrary limit (that I've found so far), I just had to learn the tricks to managing this feature.
