The LE barrel is not cold hammer forged. That is the difference.

Does anyony know if my thought process is correct on this? It's not a firearm untill matched up to a reciever, so could this be ordereg without the MB being pinned for $85 and have it pinned locally for less $$?

If you have a specific compensator you want, and they sell it, or you don't care which comp you get, it would probably be cheaper to have them do it. I don't think it would cost less than $85 for a comp + the work to pin/weld locally, but you may know someone who will do it for less. I think you would pay almost that much just to have the work done, which would not include the cost of the comp.

I just ordered one (my first actually). I gotta give major rep points to the service team over there. They seem to be top notch. I was going to jump on one, but ended up going for the BCM 14.5 Middy that the world has been waiting for. I already have a BCM 14.5 upper, so I couldn't justify another Carbine length upper with the others.
