Have 2 dogs and just bought a leather couch. Wondering if anyone knows of a quality dog resistant non slip cover. Any and all suggestions appreciated.

I'll check the brand next time I'm in the parlor, but we have these heavy duty blankets with one side having rubbery nubs so it doesn't slip around as much on furniture.

They work great - keeps the sofas clean and don't move around as much as just throwing a duvet or something on the sofas.

I think they were in the 20-40 range, not at all as bad as I thought they'd be.

Maybe a couple of those mesh things you put under door mats to keep them from moving around. Had very large dogs. They were so big, they could sit on the couch without taking their feet off the floor. Never had a problem. Not with furniture anyway.

If that's one of them in your avatar, that dog could be a couch!

My mom got tired of tucking in blankets because of the GSP they had, and sewed a length of small PVC pipe into the edge of the blanket to tuck under the back of the cushion. It worked, until the day a chipmunk showed his face in the living room.

We have full covers on both couches. Forget the brand. Kinda defeats the purpose of showing off a new couch- but we were the morons who bought light grey couches with large shedding dogs sooo 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just do what I did. Replace your leather couch with one that power reclines. Then your dog's can lie flat. They even have heat. My dogs are big and deserve a good place to sit. My wife sits there occasionally too. 🤣

No cover. We just clean it weekly and condition it monthly. 12 months in and it's still great. I suppose it depends on the type of leather

Hi Marty!!!👋 Bob says it’s “Leather” 🤔

well my 120 pound Lab has ruined my leather coach with her claw marks getting up and down, the best thing I can suggest is a carpeted floor mat with a rubberized backing that won't slip

couch blankets

Pro: keeps dog hair off (even though leather is super easy to clean)
Con: smells like farts even after washing

may as well put plastic over you couch like my grandparents

It's all in your perspective. I now have a 102 pound GSD and he seems little to me. To me, if a dog doesn't outweigh me, he's not a big dog.
Lol it’s all a matter of perspective.
I had a Saint years ago and she topped out at 167. She honestly didn’t look big to me, it’s just that other dogs looked small.
Currently I have a working line gsd and she runs between 65-70 pounds.
She obviously looks small but, she’s straight hell on tank treads.
