Out of curiosity, who is the latest greatest long term food supplier? Mountain House is huge bucks from what I saw earlier.

I stopped buying the long term storage foods for a while. I got back into it this year. I only shop the sales and got some decent deals and #10cans. IMO some of the dehydrated foods seem like a better deal than they used to be compared to current food costs. I occasionally stop at a restaurant that has a take out section. They wanted $15 for1 serving of take out lasagna. I can get MH pouch meal with a few servings for under $10. Even if the serving size is not realistic it's still more food with a long shelf life.

My Patriot Supply, even Walmart had some deals.

Check out the Bishop Storehouse in Worcester.
Their prices listed online are for cases, there are 6 #10 cans per case. The shelf life of their food is 30 years
No one can compete with the Bishop Storehouse's prices.
They are open on Thursday and Saturday mornings, and the great thing about the Mormons is, they don't want you. They are happy to sell you their food, but they won't bug and harass you to join their religion.

As TG Pioneer already mentioned, MRE depot is a good place to buy freeze dried meat. I also get my freeze dried tomato sauce from them. Although it is expensive, I think they have the best prices.

I buy #10 cans of freeze dried beef and chicken gravy from Future Essentials.

Believe me I don’t want any kind of civil war and I do believe that you’ve been correct up until now. The frog in the pot has been steadily cooking for decades, some might argue a century. This feels different though. Crisis after crisis and eventually a society reaches a tipping point.

I’ve said it before that the most historically analogous period is the Spanish Civil War. Disenfranchise, alienate, and criminalize more than half of the population and there will be a reaction. Remember, the “republicans” weren’t classical liberals who simply opposed the previous monarchy. They were hardcore urban communists, eager to destroy the hallmarks of Spanish society and replace it with revolutionary Marxism. Sounds like exactly what we’re facing today.

Yeah, I think there's a lot of parallels between what happened in Spain during the civil war period and what is happening in this country right now. We definitely have a contingent of hard core commies that are going around phucking things up. Then there is also other parallel forces looking to get their hits in as well.

This country right now has some pretty serious structural defects that need to be remedied. Just read an article about how Ilhan Omar has come right out and said that she owes allegiance to Somalia first, Islam second, and the US somewhere after that. There are other people and groups who clearly have the same order of allegiances, even if they won't come right out and admit it as openly as she has.

That shit needs to be "cleaned up". There's no way the country survives if a good portion of the people within it , who have positions of power within it's ruling system - are effectively traitors in waiting.

I saw some talk recently where they were estimating that the amount of illegals in the country may be as high as 22 million. There apparently is some bill in Congress now where they want to let in up to 5000 a day. That's more than 1.8 million a year. It's phucking ridiculous. The US government is more of an enemy than the government of any foreign country ever dreamed of being.

With all that happened in 2020 and the collapse didn’t happen I lost some energy for prepping. And the thought of roving gangs that will reach every inch of southern New England in search of a can of beans when the collapse does happen.

Same here. I ended up having to toss a bunch of MRE type food I bought so far back that it had far exceeded it's shelf life. I don't have infinite time and money to "prep" into eternity , especially because I've seen over the last 20 years how a lot of prep paranoia has gone exactly nowhere.

On the other side though, I'm a firm believer that things can definitely go to shit. Because of that I've tried to align my life around things that could be thought of as prepping , but that also fit into my general lifestyle. Despite the near constant bleating by my wife for almost three decades now , I've absolutely refused to go live in anything resembling a city. At least my suburban lot can support a garden if we had to plant one , the town is marginally 2A friendly , I have space in my home to store what supplies I have .....etc.

If I lived in an urban situation I'd likely have none of that, and be surrounded by zombies when SHTF finally came as well.

The thing about that - that you guys seem to ALWAYS "conveniently" ignore -is that that "other" side you're referring to - was PAID to be a bunch of agitating commie douchebags. By your tax dollars I might add.

Last time I checked - aside from all the FBI agents - all the people who were there on J6 did so on their own dime. And suffered because of that BTW. Whereas the "other" side hasn't paid a price AT ALL from what I can see.

A lot of you seem to draw the conclusion from that - that "we" have lost. I just think a lot of people on our side smartened up - like an Army that got it's ass handed to it in the first battle of the war - and has pulled back to re-evaluate.

In the end I think - and there's a LOT of right wingerish type people who seem to agree with this - the only way we clean house and get back to sanity is for a bunch of people to hang. And the people who need to hang, won't give up without first sacrificing all those same idiots who rioted back in 2020. So in the end - a whole bunch of people need to get shot - before this mess gets cleaned up. Shot, dumped from helicopters - etc. And there's been numerous people here pointing out that - previous "right wing" or traditionalist victories - like the Spanish Civil War and Chile under Pinochet - didn't come without cost.
