How can you tell the difference between one of the early models and the gen 2?

The bottom of the grip where the mag goes in. The gen 1 will have a straight edge while the gen 2 will have a cut out.

I have a friend who has a newer P250. He has about 1500 rounds through it with no issues. I have shot it a couple of times. While I like the looks and feel of it, I dont really care for the DOA trigger. Im sure if I got used to it, it would be ok. But I will stick to revolvers if im going to go DOA.

Cool. If it was a striker-fired gun, I'd probably already have one. I like the idea of being able to switch calibers and all. But the whole DAO thing made me meh on the prospect, along with the reliability issues I'd heard of the early models.

I probably don't need it anyway.
